Trump Ethic Attorney’s Wife Found In Backseat Of A Car Having Sex With Inmate

The GOP is a sinking ship and Trump is the captain stirring it towards the storm.

Republican Senator Jeff Flake made news just a few weeks ago for choosing to not seek re-election in order to protest the Trump administration. Flake’s scathing speech denounced president Trump and the GOP party for “undermining our democratic ideals” as well as for “the personal attacks, the threats against principles, freedoms and institution, the flagrant disregard for truth and decency”.Though many share his view, these statements were unusual coming from a GOP politician and are further proof of how detrimental the Trump Presidency is to normalcy.

Almost immediately after Flake’s announcement, Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee also declared that he would not be seeking re-election because he is tired that the president “is debasing our country”.

To add gas to the fire, two additional Republicans announced on Tuesday of this week that they will also not be seeking re-election. These Representatives were Frank A. LoBiondo of New Jersey and Ted Poe of Texas. Following the footsteps of Jeff Flake, they both denounced vehemently denounced the new norm under Trump. LoBiondo did this by saying “A vocal and obstinate minority within both parties has hijacked good legislation in pursuit of no legislation”. Poe merely announced that he intended to spend more time with his grandchildren.

These seemingly early retirements are significant because they leave vacancies that the Democrats could likely win. And, because they show that Trump’s negative influence is slowly but surely losing its popularity, even amongst Republicans themselves.

In the span of just three weeks, these four prominent GOP politicians have resigned. Two questions are inevitably raised from this: will there be more resignations? And will the GOP be able to survive 4-8 more years?
