BREAKING: Trump Served By Court For Destroying Key Documents

Due to Trump’s frequent flying down to his Mar-a-Lago estate every single weekend to play golf and his family’s personal home in New York’s Trump Tower, the Secret Service is requesting an additional $60 million in funding for the next year.

The request comes as Trump proposes to cut nearly every aspect of the federal budget – including Meals on Wheels, subsidies for health care, and climate change programs designed to protect the environment.

As you may have heard, it was reported last weekend that the Trump family went to Aspen on a ski weekend. That trip required the services of nearly 100 secret service agents – further escalating costs at the agency. All those agents cost money. Now the Secret Service says it needs more money to fund all these family vacations.

“The Secret Service cannot dictate the lifestyle of the protectee. They have to work around it,” said Jonathan Wackrow, a 14-year Secret Service employee who is now executive director of the risk-mitigation company RANE. “I don’t think they expected him to go to Florida so often. This was an unanticipated reality,” he added, for which the Secret Service “had to quickly readjust operations.”

Further plans to build hotels and homes on the site have been put on hold until a decision has been made on the building of an offshore windfarm nearby. (Photo by Ian MacNicol/Getty Images)

Also – some of the additional funding could end up going to Trump’s private company, the Trump organization. Why? Because the Secret Service has sought to rent out space there in order to protect Trump. This is apparently legal but ethically it has been questioned.

Every time Trump goes down to Florida, it is costing taxpayers an estimated $3.6 million per trip. If he keeps this trend up, taxpayers will end up paying half a billion dollars over Trump’s first term. That’s way more than President Obama ever cost taxpayers – there’s really no comparison.

Trump has previously stated that he wouldn’t “have time for vacation. We’re not going to be big on vacation.”
